Benny Mayhem's Monster Music Truck is coming to Mt Magnet as part of the School Holidays Program thanks to the Shire of Mount Magnet on Thursday, October 3rd including a Free All Ages Workshop at 1.30pm and a Free Youth Music Workshop from 2pm on the Truck for the kids

Your kids will learn how they can have a career in music and play real, live instruments on our Monster Music Truck.

The band will talk about what it means to have a career in music and then introduce the instruments one by one, talking about what their role in the band is.

Next we ask the kids to come on stage to their favorite instrument for some individual Q&A where they can play and feel what it's like to be on stage.

After this they return to their seats and we talk about how you make a band and how you look for people to play with.

We then play another song so they can start to focus on what each player is doing with each instrument.

This helps them understand how, like a good machine, a good band needs all of the parts working together to make their unique sound.

In the final part of the workshop, four will get to come onstage and take over the instruments while the Benny Mayhem Band helps them write a song together they can play for everyone there.

The Free Rock Concert in the evening is the final part of the lesson because now they will be able to watch a professional touring band and see for themselves how all of the components that went into the lecture, come together to create a show.

For this reason we would highly recommend that all kids and parents at the workshop are invited to come to the evening concert for free to see how it all comes together.
