Registration period for Cats and Dogs runs from 1 November to 31 October each year. For any enquiries please contact the Shire Office on (08) 9963 3000 between 9am and 4pm. Application forms can be found here.
As per the Dog Act 1976, all dogs must be micro-chipped, registered and wear a collar with a valid registration tag attached. Failure to register your dog can lead to a fine.
DOG REGISTRATION FEES
A 50% Pensioner concession and a 25% working cattle/sheep dogs is available and proof must be supplied at the time of registration.
The Cat Act 2011 requires that all cats must be sterilised, microchipped and registered with your local Shire. It is an offence for your cat not to wear a collar with the registration tag and you can be given an on-the-spot fine of $200 for failure to do so.
